So, I'll start with an update on what we thought were butterfly eggs. As luck would have it, the little guys hatched and much to my oldest daughter's dismay, she saw little tiny creatures with six legs, not a caterpillar looking creature. Seeing this grew a fear of little flying things in our house and alas, we went ahead and disposed of the little guys. We shall keep on the look-out for more eggs in the future :)

Today as we were walking in to the gym for my 3 year old daughter's gymnastics class, my oldest spotted something odd on the bark of a tree. Lo and behold she had found a cluster of eggs of some sort. She said she thought they might be butterfly eggs. So we carefully removed the flake of bark from the tree and proceeded to bring it home. After a quick search on the internet we confirmed that she had indeed found butterfly eggs!! Now my 4 daughters are hoping that within a week we should have little caterpillars crawling around in some sort of container. After counting them, the girls have said there may be over 30 of the little creepy crawlies :) I have been blessed by 4 curious, adventurous children who delight discovery!!
